I got my remora not too but hated two things about it....
First the flat finger guard so I took a dremel to it and got this.

The second thing was no jimping (spelling?) I dont think it came out too bad for the first time. You?

I wanted to pot a swedge on it (personal preference) but didnt know which one. I was leaning toward this one but the other didnt seem too bad either.

Which would you guys pick?

I rounded out my guard as well:

It made it looser in the sheath, so I notched the end:

And put some shock cord on my sheath for a retainer:

Then cord wrapped it, and made some homemade beads for it out of a stick in the back yard:

Then cut the sheath to accommodate the wrap:

Warrior, the factory should adopt the way you rounded out the finger guard as standard.

Yeah, Warrior. That's an awesome Remora. I never liked the 13, but after seeing that I think it could find spot in my collection. I like the pic with the homemade beads.

OT, that's a hard decision, man. No wonder you posted it here. I don't like the sharp curve in the bottom picture, but I don't like how far back the swedge starts in the top picture simply because of index finger control. Meet in the middle between the two?

Thanks. I changed the way I had it tied, was driving me nuts.

Tying the bead this way extended the handle a bit:

I also carved one of the beads. Not the greatest, but it was only my second carving, and was so small:
