Anyone else wish this model wasn't in stainless steel? I put a pretty good chip in mine, so I'll need to get a new one, but I wish it came in a harder steel. Anyone have a good substitution for this knife? Maybe I'll pick up the Buck Hartsook. I have the Smidgen, but again, not digging the stainless.

Yes I would like 1095. I don't have a 13 but I have never herd anyone complain about the steel.

I love my 14 as well. By far my favorite knife I've owned. I currently have been wearing it on my belt, but sometimes in public I feel this can be somewhat intimidating. I find myself making sure my shirt is always covering it up, and I feel nervous all the time. I wanted to get a smaller blade to throw in my pocket. But upon further consideration, I'm going to make a pocket sheath for my EsKabar that could potentially double as a credit card holder/wallet. I'll post some picture when I get around to doing it.

Another vote for the 14! I only had mine for a couple of weeks but I rarely leave home without it. I started out carrying it as a neck knife but switched to belt carry after three days. It's a great little edc!

Obviously all you 14 guys don't have a Remora.

I would love to have a remora in 1095! I asked Toooj about it about 6 months ago. He said that there has been a lot of interest in the remora in 1095. I would get a couple of 'em!

There is so much you can do with the ss remora though. I've beat the hell outa mine. I've also had it sharp enough to shave my face. Got two of them.

I would say the 14 is an excellent substitute for the remora.
If you want something a little smaller, have you considered the Boker Rambler or Gnome? Or maybe any of the Buck Pak-light skinners.
