BK13 still a freebie?

Is it still included with the BK9 and BK7 or did that end? I think I heard there will be a new BK13 made in the U.S.
 
My BK7 should be arriving from Amazon today. I'll let you know if it has one.
 
i know on amazon, after the first of jan, the ad's quit having the smaller knives and the prices went up around $8 PLUS shipping
 
I see free Super Saver Shipping and the BK9 price is still low. The BK7 is higher.
It sounds like the BK13 freebie ended so maybe you get lucky and get a leftover.
 
afaik, the freebie was a limited run of chinese made BK-13 Scalpels. even for considering where they were made, they're NICE little scalpels.

when those run out, they run out, and freebie no more.

however, it looks good that KaBar will be making them for individual sale, in the USA, with quality materials. killer little knives :)

Still waiting for UPS so I can see if my BK7 will have the BK13. I'm wondering though... did KA-BAR make as many sheaths as they did BK13's? Are the BK7's and BK9's without BK13's going to have an empty little insert, or is there a non BK13 compatible sheath that KA-BAR has been holding onto?
 
UPS just delivered my BK7 and tucked nicely inside was my BK13. Amazon says they have about 4 left. Get them while you can!
 
Under the price where it says "In Stock" they give a number if they are getting low. It said that they had 4 left yesterday. I just checked again and now the warning is gone so I assume they got more... perhaps without the BK13's? If you look at the BK2 it says they only have 5 left.

I love Amazon.
 
Yeah, I love Amazon too. I like to support the smaller knife dealers and do so most of the time but I can't turn down a good deal.
 
Just got a BK7 from Tom at Chestnut ridge and the BK13 was tucked inside. I got mine for $71 delivered. Great price!!
 
I am guessing this has to do with the turnover to the US produced BK13. They ran out of the China made versions and have not yet started shipping the US.
 
I believe the US version is going to be sold separately, not included as a freebie.
 
So, does anyone make a sheath for the BK13 - like if I wanted to use one as a neck knife?

I bought a BK7 from Newgrahamknives and I liked it so much that I went ahead and bought a BK9 from them - each came with a BK13. I have wrapped one of them with paracord and sharpened it till it shaves hairs REALLY easily. It would make a good little neck knife if I had a sheath for it.
