bk14/24 sheath ?

Hi guys, ive decided to ask about the sheath for the Becker bk14. Does it really dull the blade. And are there any ways of stopping it from doing it ?

the newer ones don't seem to dull like the old ones that came with the roll stamped blades.
I used a needle file to accelerate the wear on the sheath where the blade makes contact.
