BK14 arrived / first thoughts

My BK14 arrived a few minutes ago. Here are a few first impressions.
1. Handle is very comfortable as is.
2. Blade is sharp but needs work.
3. Sheath is not as bad as I expected.
4. Blade and grind seem well done.
5. Thicker than I thought but I like that.

We have about 7 new inches of snow and it's starting again so it will not get much of a workout this evening.
I am pleased with this purchase and it reminds me of why I think Becker is one of the best values in the knife market.

Welcome to the madness, brother. Good to see you posting and damn fine knife you got there. I was checking out some of the guys knives at ETO here, Sam's place, and I noticed, they all had one.

Which is good, 'cause I agree with you. BKT's, best value out there.

Ya I love mine. I'd grab another but the 15,16 and 17's are coming out and are even closer to the bullseye.:thumbup:
 
Congrats on getting your 14, I love mine. I am currently having a contest for any that are interested in it. I made a set of wooden scales with copper liners and am giving them away. Again Congrats and I'm sure another becker will follow shortly :)

Thanks. I have a few other Beckers and I'm sure more will follow.

Thanks. I like the profile under my shirt without handles. I might have to look into a second (with handles) one for belt carry.

My BAD. As you can see in the photo I did NOT remove handle. LOL
Now that would be a bloody proposition. I must learn to read for comprehension in this second fifty years.
 
What a coincidence, mine arrived yesterday as well!

I love it so far, I may even like it more than my Izula. After hearing bad things about the sheath, I'm pleasantly surprised as well and I love the blade shape. Not as compact as the Izula, but I think I like it more as far as general utility goes.
 
Good pic! I see you like neck knives. Im not a fan of the 11 or 14 for neck carry seems a tad too big, but I wear the Remora that way some.
