put my eskabar to work this afternoon. figured i should really break it in and see how it performs.
i was mainly looking to test edge retention and coating wear. and i have to say the knife did very well in both categories! :thumbup:
video montage of cutting demos
(forgive some parts being out of frame, i was using a tripod and was more focused on cutting)

the grip was fairly comfortable (albeit a tad small)
it shaved this piece of wood fairly well
the coating held up much better than i was expecting (i guess i was wrong when i said it comes off in a gentle breeze
)
conclusions:
-the BK14 is a great knife! especially for the price, it performs well for its size and i think everyone should give it a try.
-i need to get another becker, a larger one. perhaps a BK2?
-the coating holds up nicely to use, its not that bad IMO
-edge retention was fairly good. about the same as before
thanks for taking the time to look at my thread!
