Mine was sharp, but not as sharp as I want
Whats your carry option?
As a necker or in the pocket
Does it fit good in your hands?
With the Izula scales it feels great
Do you EDC it?
On weekends only
Did yours rust yet?
Nope, With the coating, what's to rust besides the edge. Use it more:D
What type of oil do you use?
No oil used
What degree is your edge at?
20 per side, 40 inclusive, re-profiled from factory edge which was a bit steeper.
Overall rating?
8

For the price, I can touch up the edge. I've started to convex mine. No problem with rust, but I can't see it as a problem.
I say 8/10 rating. I find the handle a bit too short. The sheath could be kydex, but up goes the cost.

Mine came plenty sharp to do anything I need to do. I tend to carry it in my pocket or around my neck, and store it in a pouch on my pack. The handle length works ok for me, I'm used to carrying an Izula part of the time.

I will have to agree-it isn't super sharp out of the box, but easily fixed on my Lansky. I have had mine for a week and I bet I have wrapped and re wrapped the handle 30 times to get the right "feel" and a design I liked. This knife will take abuse and stay sharp.

I need a belt clip!

I'll give it 8 1/2 stars!! (9 if it were sharp out of the box)

ive hear good stuff and bad stuff about the lansky system. anyone know where to get one cheap cheap because i dont have job and prob wont use much

Mine was sufficiently sharp when I got it, but I took it to the stone anyway and put a shaving edge on it. There was, however, an imperfection about a quarter inch below the tip where the grind was a bit off, like someone flinched as they were grinding it at the factory. After a few sharpenings, it's nearly gone, so no big deal.

The Eskabar is my primary carry knife, and I carry it in my pocket suspended by a loop of paracord from my belt.

I stripped the coating from mine and forced a patina with no rust problems. I don't oil it, just keep it clean and dry.
