Hey all......does anyone know where I can get some decent handles for the BK14? Is there any Micarta or any other "off the shelf" handles that i can purchase? I've currently got paracord but I'm looking for something more perminant and a bit thicker.......any help?

Or you could get some ESEE Izula micarta, and with a wee bit of modification, they'll pop right on. Welcome!

I have a set of the Izula handles. The liners are only taped/lightly glued on and can be removed, sanded and re-installed or just left off, it's an easy mod.

I've Got WOOD!!!!!! ;) If you don't like the micarta and don't want to wait for the ka-bar ones you can always make your own. It's easy.

Second NSvens recommendation. Doesn't take much wood, and can be done with hand tools, if you don't have a drill press and belt sander. I made my first sets entirely by hand.

there's some sweet CNC handles floating around too, great stufff, by SH@RP?

Mine is currently sporting paracord ...

... but I think those new handles are (or soon will be) calling to me.

Not permanent and not thicker, but sliding a piece of inner tube onto the handle makes it nice and grippy.

I actually like having mine cord wrapped. It keeps the side profile very slim and capable of just hugging onto your waist or into your pocket and since it's mostly a light cutting chore knife it provides enough comfort for the quick cuts and slices this knife is made for.

That said...I'm DYING to get my hands on the new scales! They look like they will transform this little neck knife into a mini bushcraft machine!

you could try some leather with a paracord topping which would make it thicker then paracord alone and if you like it just slather epoxy all over it and it will be permanent
