BK14 Scale Question - TKC Scales

probably could be done in 5 min or less with a dremel, but I ordered a set of G10 scales made specifically for the BK14 from SH@RP instead of something I would have to mod.
 
This was asked a little while back and im not sure if the OP of that thread got em yet or not. My guess is they will be a bit wide and need to be shaved down, both on top and bottom of the handle and the inserts if there are any
 
Dale told me they won't fit, but he didn't say anything about modding them.

However, if you want BK14 scales that lock in perfectly, Sh@rp is your man.

I ordered them and told the other thread I would post up when I got them to fit. They just came in today and I am working fervently right now with my only tool = a file on a gerber multitool, so it may take a little while longer, but I will post pics and such in this thread by the end of today!!
 
Jarod - great job under less than ideal conditions with less than ideal tools.

Looks factory.
 
I prob couldn't do that in a workshop fulla tools, you do it in a third world country and with only a Gerber, nice work my man
 
Thanks guys. The only snag I caught was that you have to make them sit flush on the sides. The screws and inner bushing they give you are *just* long enough, i mean >this close< so you have to work to make them reach, but, enough work and you can make them fit, I like it, makes the knife alot nicer to hold and hopefully extended use. I might try sanding down the overhand in the front tomorrow, but I'm running low on 100grit paper. I might have to save it for later, IDK. I'll keep you guys posted. I will say this. Shipping was super fast!! Very nice company to work with!

Pretty much awesome scales in that pic.
 
sharp's scales are teh awesome, and they give you the finger / carabiner hole access. can't ask for much more than that

(except a free set ;>) you know where to send them ;> hah hah hah)
 
got my sh@rp g10 scales in the mail today - they replaced the aluminum ones in a heartbeat.
