Hey guys. I've been asked to drop by the Becker forums and say hi by my good friend Springy. He is working on a BK14 blade, making it a one of a kind. I would like to add my own efforts into the handle to make it a joint custom effort. I am tinkering in knifemaking so I'm open to suggestions for handle materials. I could do wood scales, or maybe custom inserts, or just cord wrap, which sadly I might have to do if I fail at the woodworking part. I like greens, blues, and orange shades.

My 14 has some nice Cocobolo from Tommythewho on it. My favorite 11 has some camo G10 with tan and orange liners made from a member here (birchwood) a while ago. They are very different but both very functional and beautiful at the same time.

Do the wood ones seem slippery with wet hands? I was about to post about wood vs zytel. I can't bring myself to do the g10 as they are as expensive as the knife itself.

No I don't think so. Maybe if you are cold and wet but then everything is hard to hold on to.
