Just thought I would throw this out there and see what comes up...

Does anyone here in the Becker area know where I could get something other than the Orange and Black Zytel scales that you can buy for the BK14? I have seen posts with people who have carbon fiber, wood and other colors on their BKs! I was planning to send mine of to Geoff (TuffThumbz) but he is backed up for a pretty good amount of time so I didn't want to wait a couple months to start breaking his bad boy in!

If no one knows of any place where I could buy different ones is there anyone here who makes them/ has any they would be willing to sell?

I just like being a little different is all!

P.S. - If anyone has any pictures of their BK14's with custom or different scales please share some pics! I would love to see!

Did you make these? If not, where did you get them!
They were gifted to me. A guy here named Sh@rp made them. They're G10. Really nice. He hasn't been around for awhile though. I believe he's very busy with his work.

Tommythewho makes some dandy scales for the 14. Here's one of his pics. You can find him on this Forum. He's a great guy to get scales from.

Those came out great! Is that the Tiger Strip G10? Also, nice little sheat there! I am assuming you made that also?

I am thinking about picking up some of the Carbon Fiber pattern Kydex you can get on KnifeKits.com for my new sheath but I still have not decided!

Yeah, Tiger 10. I've seen that carbon fibre but its not my style but go for it if you've got skill. Hope to see it soon.

But we cant PM you because your not a gold member and your email isnt listed for us to email you either. If you go into your settings you can change it to let forum members email you. it wont give us your email address just let us email you from bladeforums directly.

Did you seriously resurrect a seven month old thread to start shilling for yourself with your first post?

How bout this? Knife Conection.com has some custom G-10 scales for the Izula. They are pretty sweet and cover the whole tang except a little spot at the end for a lanyard. Has anyone used these and will they work with any of the sheaths?

I will do some carbon fiber scale in 3mm thick, pm me if you want a set.

Not only that; it's also an account that's been dormant since February.
I'd normally say "welcome to Bladeforums," but instead, I issued a warning.
hyper77, if you want to sell stuff here, you need to read the rules: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/announcement.php?f=699&a=98

Not sure how much trust I'd put into a member with one post in an account set up nine months ago.
Especially one who posts "pm me if you want a set" and he doesn't receive private messages. Buyer beware. :p

Back on track... I have used the ESEE Izula scales. They're an improvement but still not full enough in hand for my tastes.
If you can track down some of Sh@rp's scales, they are excellent. Another route might be to make liners for the zytel scales and use slightly longer bolts.

Ok, slightly off topic, other than being a new BK14 owner in the market for some scales, and really liking the looks of those Sh@rp scales you've got there. If those are Jalapenos, this could well be the most "manly" photo I've seen on the forum... ;)

What did they all go into?

I have. You need to remove some material but they do feel good. I ended up covering mine in epoxy and put them back on my izula though.
