Good afternoon,

I cut the belt loop off of my flashlight holder from work. I use a headlight now and kept the holder knowing eventually I would find a use for it.

I haven't used it yet so I'm not sure if it will suit for my needs.

I'll keep everyone posted

Thanks,

Always good to see someone thinking and solving problems. Do let us know how it works.

The handle pokes me in the side. I'm thinking going dangler but I'm afraid it'll move too much when I pull it out.

Back to the drawing board! Horizontal carry? Hmmm

Don't be afraid to try the dangler on that set up. It might work pretty good.
Danglers are definitey my favorite way to carry.
With it being a smaller knife, you should still be able to unsheath it with one hand without too much trouble.

Anyway...I like what you did there with that belt loop.
I always like seeing sheath mods! Nice work!

I switched the loop and wear it horizontally. So much better and easier to draw. I now also have an extra loop. Any suggestions on what to do with it or should I cut it off.

-I would flip the belt loop around so the free loop is facing in and leave it on. Put a small non-climb rated carabiner on it and tuck that behind your belt.
-If it is facing in, it will be much less likely to get hung up on things and be there when you need a place to hang something.
-Close up the frayed cut ends of the nylon with a lighter for a cleaner look

Nice work. What model flashlight carrier was used?

It's a WTC (work tool crib) model. It's actually Klein Tools. I wanted to flip it around but it has a soft Velcro patch and I was afraid it would get very dirty. I think I'll put the loop up top punch some grommet holes and add a carbiner or two. Maybe a compass, fire steel, other small edcables? I plan on using this knife for small hikes as my BK4 is a lil big on public trails.
