Here's my BK14. Stripped & blued with sheath mods by me. Thanks for looking!

Took care of the rattle in the sheath as well. The sheath can also now be worn vertical or horizontal.

Interesting. Can you show us a pic with it disassembled?

Sorry man, I epoxied the bolts together! It's basically just a square of 1/8" ABS plastic, 4 Chicago Screw posts, stainless screws, 1/4" aluminum spacers and a piece of scuba webbing.
Total cost, a few bucks.

Well, either way, I like it. Some good old fashioned ingenuity there.

Those are some very professional looking sheath additions.

Your bluing job looks good. Care to share any details of your process and what bluing compound you used?

Pretty cool. A couple of questions:
Did you use regular gun blueing to color it?
Do you think the epoxy will hold up that much better than say Lock-Tite (which you could take apart without destroying the bolts?)
Was there a reason for not using the four existing middle (small) holes to attache it instead of drilling new ones?

That's some damn fine work brother. really nice.

Thanks guys! I used to make kydex sheaths but now I just toy around with stuff like this.
Well, I decided to add 2 additional eyelets to the middle of the sheath so that the distance between the eyelets would be 1.5", a standard belt width.
The existing smaller eyelets which were already there were a little too low and a little too close to the edge so I just added the 2 new ones.
I epoxied the bolts together simply because I had JB Weld with me at the time and I don't intend to ever take it apart.
I used Birchwood Casey cold gun blue, straight out of the bottle, applied with a paper towel. I'm amazed the bluing looks as good as it does but the knife did have a nice factory finish under the powdercoat which really helped.

looks very good! I had thought about using gun blue in the past but wasnt to sure about it. But yours turned out so good I think I will be doing that sometime in the future!

I like the bluing. As it wears off you can just touch it up. Nothing to peel or flake off either.
Glad you like it too!

Next mod- olive drab G-10 scales!

It looks like you could wear it either vertical or horizontal even without the webbing. I'm guessing the webbing just helps with on/off without belt removal. very nice.

Exactly right.

The sheath can be worn either vertically or horizontally without the nylon loop.

Without the nylon loop the sheath will fit on 1.5" belts, with the loop it will fit 1.75" belts.

Thanks for the kind words!
