So i have watched numerous videos and read countless threads comparing these knives. Every comparison seems like from a while ago and nothing really recent. I want to get one of these knives and was leaning towards the 14. Then to the 11. Then back to the 14. Looked at the EDC thread and just as i suspected, most people carried either or. I am not only interested in your opinions, but Im also curious to know why you went with one over the other? Also what is your purpose for your 14/11?

Also i would love to get both but right now i just want to get just 1 as I am planning to get some different things as well. Thanks in advance.

I've stuck with the 14, personally. I like the extra handle space and the zytel scales make it feel like a much larger blade. Not that I didn't like the 11, but the bottle opener wasn't really a necessary extra. I gave the 11 to my brother-in-law. Believe it or not, you can open a bottle with a 14 pretty easily. :D

I had to go down to my local knife shop and hold them both before I could decide. The 11 felt better in hand than I had expected, but the 14 seemed to beat it out. Plus, handle scales for the 14 are much cheaper, so I went with the Eskabar. But I doubt you'd be disappointed with either one....

I went with the 11 because it was Becker's handle, not somebody elses. Great knife and I love it.

I also love the Izula, which is where the "somebody elses" handle came from haha.

I can get a 4 finger grip on the 14.and only 3.on the 11---and like its been said, the zytel handles are 1/3 the.price and transformed the 14 from a knife.i liked to THE KNIFE I always reach for

I carry both, just depends on the day. I also carry the izula. They all fit pretty much the same role. For a slightly higher price point going with T.M.Hunt's Hornet XL is another awesome option.

I like the 11 cause it is SO compact and packs so many tools into it, and it's usefullness far out weighs it's size.
I like the 14 cause it is such an easy carry/hold knife.
I like the Izula cause it is the same handle as the 14, but the blade is less likely to get me in trouble in Chicago.

A BK24 (a 14 in D2 steel) is in my very near future, just waiting for it to hit the shelves. I'm not a fan of the bottle opener handle on the 11, no point in it for my needs. And as said the zytel scales are cheaper and the grip of the 14 is roomier.

I've posted these pics before---hope they help you make your decision

I'm just guessing, but I bet OFM wears sz. XL gloves? I wear a size medium, as I told you by email, so heres some pics for comparison.

I think my hands are pretty average in size. I wear a Lg or XL depending on the brand. I think to make it a complete comparison we need Dubz.to post.a.pic.holding the.knives.

I wear medium sized gloves I think, and the Necker fits my hand great. The bottle opener hasn't
gotten much use yet, as I collect bottle caps when they're in good condition because I'm weird.
The opener will be used when I start camping again in spring, and the knife itself will get some real
use. I love this knife, I actually wear it around my neck some nights. My flannel buttons right over
it, and I can put my hand on my chest and whip out a knife in the blink of an eye if I have to. The
Scales are expensive, almost as much $ as the knife, but I love the feel of them. I love the knife.
It gets a lot of crap for the size of the handle, but if it fits, its great. I plan on getting the 14 for
my girlfriend because shes sooo jealous. I think the 14 looks awesome with the orange scales.
(plus shes always droppin' stuff) anyways, if you plan on getting both, I'd say that's a good plan. :D
