Ok so this is just a quick photo dump that i think some of you guys (and gals) will enjoy. Whether it be due to my lack of coconut knowledge or due to the becker content, I'm fine with either.
So to preface this, I have never attempted to open a coconut before, so this was a first for me. But having a becker in hand made me want to see if i could do it in a better way.

Ive been doing some work on the BK15 so i wanted to take a few shots of that while i was at it. I need to get some better pics of the end result once i have some time.

I added green liners too

I figured it was a good idea to try and carve off the top of the coconut that way i could easily pour the joice out. How hard could it be? It turns out that coconuts are pretty friggin hard! While I'm confinent that with a good swing i could have gotten in with my BK4, i wasn't doing that in my kitchen, and that would also send the juice everywhere! haha

I ended up reverting to the old standard of poking out one of the holes with a screwdriver to drain the juice

knowing i that it would be a complete pain to carve any of the shell, I simply reverted to the way its known for being opened and cracking it along the precut spot with the spine of the bk15. I hate that i ended up using a precut spot to open it - i may have to get another and use the bk4 in a place i don't mind making a bit of a mess

it didn't crack the whole way through so i ended up finishing off the split

I will say i do find it rather entertaining that the Becker obsession has actually led me to photograph and post the entire process of opening a coconut hahaha
