Bk16 for field dressing game

Hi! Just ordered a bk16 today and was wondering if anyone use it for feild dressing or skinning. It will be paired with my bk9 or bk2 any pics of one being used on game would be nice. Hopefully i will have some to post soon.
 
I can faithfully report that it's great for squirrels...

It'll work just fine. I actually prefer the 15 and do not own a 17, which I also think would be fine - if not better, due to its point, but the 16 will be fine for field dressing and even better at skinning.
 
what kind of monster kills squirrels and has typos in the title? :D

Never had a 16. Have 15 though. Sure it will be satisfactory for you. Especially when comes to skinning.
 
I use my BK14 for field dressing game frequently. Mostly deer, but a few squirrels as well. Your BK16 is just a slightly longer drop point blade, so it should just fine.

Yeah, drop points are a classic blade shape for hunter models. The 16 should work well. For deer sized game I like to field dress with a slightly smaller blade like my BK14. Easier to manage when you have both hands and a knife up in the chest cavity. I would not have any problems getting the job done with the 16 though and for any other part of processing a deer I would prefer the 16 over the 14. I have a 14 and a 15 myself. Good stuff.
 
Well, as others have mentioned, the 11 or 14 might be a better choice over all - especially for bigger game. I find it easier to control the smaller blade safely when I'm up to my elbow in a deer's gooey bits. You asked about the 16 though and yep - it'll work great as well.
 
Yea hoping to soon its only 2 hours from my house now but still saying saturday. Maybe ill get a surprise in the mail tomorrow
