Got a set of black micarta tweener grips from Oregon Fal'er recently and I figured I would show them off on my unetched BK16. Looks pretty darn sexy if I do say so.

Nice lookin' set up! Any idea when the rest of us can get some tweener micarta? I've got a 15 that really needs em.
 
Alright, Oregon. I know you don't take orders or requests for these things, but if people keep showin' off these great grips you're making...well...I'm gonna keep wishin I had some for myself. Great work and nice photoshoot Derek.
 
I'll make a set from time to time to give away but I'm not gonna do the ordering thing. You can go on to e pray and buy some for like $40 from several vendors and I can't compete with that. I'll keep it as a hobby and take the high road by giving them as gifts but I won't prostitute myself for $5 an hour. I can only say to keep posting and keep hanging out here.

I hear ya. There are other options but you're doing some fine work and I always like throwin some business out to Oregon.

They are indeed grippy! Think I might get them good and polished up though. Not really sure yet.
 
I made those from an old t shirt of my brothers, It was a Sheldon High school wrestling shirt and I swear it was black when I started. Charcoal gray when I finished. That's 1 layer of marine corps pilots jacket in the middle along with 1 layer of natural burlap.

They can be found in the smoky mountains. They are not a dealer here so I can't get much more specific or link you there, but poke around online and you'll find it.

Awesome work again OF! Those scales look great on the 16, Derek you are a lucky dog!

Your background looks like the counter-top in my trusty old camper. :)

Thanks! That is actually a lime green cutting sheet thingy, and will become handle liners at some point in the semi near future.
 
Fal'ers work is unmistakable and quite amazing.

Also, D I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with multiples of the 16!
