I am always looking for cheap ways to improve my knives and carry options. I found this JRE sheath designed for the mora companion and others. Fits the 16 like a glove. I just dyed mine darker and add some snoseal. Cheap too! Around $23.

Not a bad idea at all. That's a pretty nice dangler for not a lot of money.

Another cheap alternative is to use the sheath that comes with the Condor Bushcraft Basic/Bushlore/Nessmuk. They all come with the same sheath, and it fits any of the Tweeners perfectly. Especially the 15. And if you get one, you also get a really good knife in the deal, for under $30. The sheath is nice and supple and good quality for the money, but it doesn't carry quite as well as most handmade sheaths. But if you're on a tight budget, this is one great way to go. If you do want the sheath, I recommend getting the Condor Bushlore with it. I like mine enough to mod it a little.

You can, of course, swap the sheaths. The Bushlore fits in the Tweener sheath with no problems.

How do you like the Bushlore? Did it come with that finish or did you etch it?

Yep, I filed and sanded down the scales, flattened the edge a bit, sanded the blade and then blue/bleached it. Finished the handle off with Danish Oil. It's a good knife. Not as good as a Becker for most things, but it feathers well and is a great beater knife. There was a great vs. thread last year between this, the 16, and 17 by someone, I can't remember who, and the Bushlore did pretty well against the Beckers. I still prefer my Tweeners by leaps and bounds, but this is a nice knife for guilt-free abuse.
