Not a big fan of the factory sheath for the tweeners, at all. :barf:

They are quality material, but I have come to prefer a properly fit kydex setup for any fixed knife long ago. That is why I concocted this minmalist foldover inspired by the drawpoint style of thermoplastic guru Mike Sastre of River City Sheaths.

.093" thickness Black Kydex

Now my tweener can go everywhere I go, even if I'm not wearing a belt. If that's not good enough, no one will even notice it's there until it's time to put the BK16 to work in the outdoors or hard use at home. Rest assured this knife is now at hand like never before. And NO rattle!

Thanks Ethan and Kabar for coming together to create these long awaited in between sizes with affordable price and genuine US made work horse construction. The extra handles are a nice touch as well.

Spyderco G-clip.

Can be threaded on belts to 1 1/2 inches and clips beltless to waistbands of your favorite athletic sweats too. Move the torx screws to mount vertical, horizontal or 45 degree.

I love the Sastre Drawpoint sheath that came with my Gryphon M-10. It's fast and easy to draw the knife from, yet it still holds the blade securely, even upside down.

Great work, McGee.

Great example of a true drawpoint system in the Gryphon. Mike and I have had many conversations regarding the functional realities of access and gross motor function that must be considered when configuring the sheath retention. I have been priveleged to learn some techniques from Mike personally as well so I do not mention his style without good reason. My retention tends to be a little more snug than most of the Sastre packages.

Thanks guys for the comments and compliments. I will try later to see if the retention stays the same when I switch to the peanut butter handles.
