This is my first bladeforums post in years. I'm interested in the bk16. I always liked becker knives, but thought they were too big. So now the bk16 comes out and it looks about right, size wise... I think. I'd love to see some size comparison pics with mora craftline or clipper knives. Anyone got any pics like that?

I'll get you some when I get to the house.

Here's one compared to the Mora MG:

The Tweenerz fill the same niche as traditional american hunting knives such as the Green River series.

The difference is the steel Becker/KaBar uses is a bit tougher, and the Tweener handles are very ergonomic; they really need to be experienced in person to be truly appreciated.

Not a Mora, but it's also made in Sweden.... Is that OK? :D

love me some fallkniven.

somewhere, lost in the mists of time, is a thread showing tweeners compared to all manner of other knives. good stuff.

iirc, if you get the KaBar catalog, many of the knives are photographed "life size"

Hey how does the blade thickness of the flat ground bk16 compare to the fallkniven f1?

That Fallkniven is an H1 model in the picture I have posted.
The blade of the F1 model is thicker than that of the BK-16 and the H1 blade is even thicker than the F1.

Great to hear. I really wanted to love the f1, but the blade was just too thick for me.

For what it's worth, the 16's blade is slightly thiner than an ESEE 4 and MUCH lighter. I haven't had time to use it yet but I already like it a lot. I am not disappointed with the knife or sheath. Actually I like the 16 quite a bit, everything is so well ballanced that it is hard to put down.:thumbup:

I declare this thread a victory. :D

Nice comparison shots with the E4 and Mora, that was helpful.
The E4 feels like a board in the hand, frankly. Still looking forward to handling a tweener.

I had thought about getting an ESEE 4 before, but the handle does seem a bit short.

The knife came yesterday. I like it! I swapped the scales to brown, thinned out the edge (primary bevel) with the edge pro sharpener, and removed the lower snap strap from the sheath. I might have to get some kydex for it too...

Congrats on your new Tweener... I just got the two I was missing a couple days ago. Looks like you didn't waste any time modding it either..... impressive.

Thanks for the mention cf!

My image/host is crashed right now so I can't post my more recent pictures but I have a couple pics of sheath options I'll post. I also make a Pouch Sheath but again have no pictures to post right now.

Hope this helps but there's alot more sheath options than this that I make.

Is that the esee backing or did you cut up the tweener sheath for the backing?
I like that a lot!
