After some research here in the forum, my BK16 arrived today. I must say, I'm beyond pleased. I've always been a Becker fan. Also really love knives from ESEE and Blind Horse.
But of all I own, the BK16 might be as close to perfection I'll ever come for a knife. It just feels perfect in the hand. The contour of the scales, the balance, the size.
Upon putting it in my hand right out of the box, my thought was "I need one more."
Only minor nitpicks is that I'd love to see some official micarta scales from Becker/KaBar...but the grivory is quite sufficient. I'm used to a rough blade coating with my ESEE knives, but the coating on this may be a bit much. A little too rough for my taste, it may get stripped, but the knifte design more than makes up for any minor shortcomings.
I love it.
On a side note, the stock sheath isn't bad at all. If you're looking for something in leather though, the #6 size sheath from Blind Horse fits the BK16 quite well. It's a deep pouch bushcraft style, but again...it works.
