bk16 vs bk24 vs kabar game stalker for hunting??

I have a 14 and I have the gamestalker. Once you hold the gamestalker in hand there's no question it fits well and the extra jimping is incredible I can't wait for hunting season to put it through its paces. I still want a 16 but the feel and shape of the gamestalker is something else

Gamestalker is made from 440 stainless steel. I know, some sites say 1095 CroVan, but it IS 440 stainless. It is a GREAT knife. I think i would prefer it over a BK16 for skinning. The jimping on the spine tip works excellent.

Hi all,

I have to admit, the GAMESTALKER has really grabbed my attention! The GS looks like a BIG knife in a small package and that really interests me as I am not so much a fan of HUGH knives. However, I do LOVE a Machete! The GS no doubt has a LOT of Nessmuk in it's design with a nice combo of Belly and Point. The GS is very near the top of on my wish list of Knives I'd like to buy. I also soooo badly want a nice Canadian #1 Belt Knive. No doubt about it, sooner or later, I'll own both the aformentioned knives. Add either a BK-14 or Izula ll and a SAK (with Saw) and I think I'll have it covered for most cutting/slicing Woods work.

B44,

Today I was checking out (on line) the BK16. The BK16's looks to be a VERY nice choice!
Sort of a "not too BIG, not too small" all around performer. Personally, I don't like to carry (on my person/belt) any knife with a O.A.L. of greater than say.....nine inches as I find it just gets in my way. I am really liking knives with an O.A.L. of 6 inches to 8 inches. A 3.5" to 4" handle is pretty much a "must have" for my XXL hands.

for hunting the bk-16. a flat ground drop point is probably one of the most preferred dressing shapes and 4in is perfect for just about any animal.
Better handle on the bk as well vs the gamestalker IMOP.
