It will be a couple weeks before I can get out and do some wood work with my new BK2, so I decided to take a few minutes between chores and tear apart a 2X4. I know its only a 2X4, but I got a quick idea of how this blade handles.

First thought is I am going to like the handle a lot more than I imagined. Second is I am going to like the knife as a whole even more than originally thought.

Sorry for the poor pics, all I had on me was my phone.

This is the result of a light to moderate chop:

I then took one blow with a baton:

She's a beast. I only have a tan crewman myself, thinking the BK2 shall be next. Thanks for sharing.

nice! by the way, i'm not sure if i'm the only one who noticed it but there's a lot of ny'ers in bladeforums in general. i would've guessed more members would be from states with lax knife laws like arizona or new hampshire would be here but it's not as far as i can tell.

I wish Ka-Bar would make a 10 inch blade version of the BK2 design. That would be the ultimate survival blade. I don't care how much it would way, it would be awesome.

Moose, I think that's your cue...
