well i was stripping my bk-2, and was rubbing with all i had with some medium grit sandpaper. well my hand slipped a little and the bk2 sliced open my thumb. im lucky it cut at an angle, otherwise i would need some serious stitches. these beckers are bloodthirsty little beasts

SHHH! Mine is getting some love with a nail file type thing right now trying to achieve this magical "convex" edge everyone is talking about. I don't want her getting ideas.

See? Talk some more shit about her grinds and you might lose a finger.:p

:D:D

Glad your ok, be careful, they bite when you don't feed them.

Hey Nutnfancy....

Sorry your new baby bit you....Wrapping your hand in an old towel is awkward but can help.....I have a pair of "no cut" gloves I usually take on the plane that are reputed to work well......

Heal fast....

All Best....

ethan- ya i put on some leather working gloves after that, worked like a charm and now i have my shiny bk2 =). somehow i sanded it so that the saber flat is a little (very little)bit darker than the rest, which actually looks really attractive to me. also i noticed it cut a little smoother, which is always a plus. the cuts healing up fine, dab of super glue and i hardly notice its even there

upnorth- my dental bill is high enough already, last thing i need is to have a knife extracted from my mollars

I saw a guy cut the tip of his finger off (at an angle, included some nail and top right quarter of index finger) once cutting up green bell peppers in the kitchen.

The funny thing was, he was complaining that I was cutting too slow and came over to show me how to do it faster. He started chopping away fast, then turned to look at me and said 'See, it's not that hard' when he started jumping up and down yelling. I told him to, well, I'd rather not say.......I thought he was mocking my fear of cutting up these peppers quickly.

He walked off into the prep room and came back out with a blood-soaked rag wrapped around his hand.

Always respect your knives......or they will get you.
