Oh man, it's been a long journey -- started out looking at the LMF, got set straight on that, missed out on a couple of sweet deals on the exchange, got sidetracked thinking I could afford a $200 BK10 on another site, got sidetracked again looking at folders, then yesterday I finally pulled the trigger on my first BKT. Got big plans for this thing and a two week vacation (only perk I get being a Special Ed teacher) to complete them in: stripping it, deciding how much to polish it, customizing the sheath with cable clamps and a tek lok, and most importantly getting out in them woods a playing! This is gonna be sweet. I have a feeling my parents are going to have lots of kindling for their woodstove before the break is over. Thanks to everyone who's answered all my questions so far...

A kind BF member sent me one to use as a trial, I beat the thing senseless(or rather myself senseless) yesterday it didn't hic-cup, you won't be disappointed in the purchase. At it's price point I don't think there is a better deal, even with the minor sheath issues.

Congrats brother. I'll be buying myself one for X-mas in a couple weeks. Maybe some of you upcoming pics can solidify my decision even more.

Hasn't arrived yet -- been obsessively checking online to see where it is in transit and it was supposed to get here yesterday, but instead all I had waiting was my micarta scales... not bad, but can't do much with just those. Just checked again and it's "out for delivery" so I'm thinking it'll be there soon! Pretty funny that I'm sitting here overseeing a study hall while posting about knives online. My boss actually asked me what I was doing for break and my answer? "Playing with knives and fire." Awesome. Pics to come!

Congrats on the BK2. Mine goes with me often. One of my many favorites.

It's here! Dude this thing is a beast -- feels more like a hammer than a knife! I don't think I fully understood exactly what 1/4" looked like on a blade. Got home too late to go out and play with it (that heft feels a tiny bit dangerous to be messing around with when I can't see), but half day today so as soon as I'm out I'm hitting the woods. Sweet!

Pics or you never got it and are playing with a butter knife.
