Who else EDC's their BK2? In WA it's legal to open carry as big a blade as you want to; so I do.

Not me, I live in a busy area that is also very liberal. I wish i could, but certain areas are limited to 3" blades so its kind of a hassle.

We can open carry large blades, but there's some stipulation about it being for "sporting" purposes. I would never be stopped by a D.O.W Ranger for carrying, but in Denver...I dunno. We can conceal up to 3.5" as long as it's not auto or balisong.

So to answer the OP...no, I don't EDC my BK2. :(

Mine is in my backpack almost all the time, but not openly out on me and accessible (easily). Course, my pocket knife is almost as big, and it is always on me. :D

Do you find you use it in an EDC capacity, or do you just carry it because you can? I can't for the life of me think of what I would use a BK2 for in everyday situations that a smaller knife couldn't handle.

What about defending scrap metal collection territory? :D

I do.

Watch out in the Seattle area.

OH Man!!! Tell me about it. I think it's a 3" folder that is legal, and any kind of a fixed blade is considered a dangerous weapon. That is just about the stupidest thing, to have a law like that, where everywhere else around it is legal to carry a fixed blade. I think I have a couple folders that I can legally carry in Seattle.

Don't own a BK2 (yet...) but here in Israel no carrying of fixed blades is allowed period . That includes also folders with lockable blades . The chances of being stopped in the middle of the street by a law person to be searched for dangerous items aren't high if you look decent , but not so in entrances to any public building - security persons with metal detectors literally everywhere , that will search your carry-ons . This is the reason I stopped EDCing my multi-tool , and carrying my little folder only when I'm sure nobody will search me .

Only around the apartment.. Strict blade laws in Sweden unfortunately... But since its new it actually is my "EDC/home" blade! :)

Mine stays in the pack, don't have a need for a knife that size unless I'm off pavement.

Ya'll know what I carry.

Mine is always close. It rides every day in my truck. I like knowing it is close for tough cutting jobs if I need it, but usually my SAK Farmer will handle most of my EDC type cutting chores.

That is exactly what I do. BK2 in the truck and a SAK alox Farmer in my pocket. Never leave home without that one.
