I just was recently batoning and hacking with my 2 while it was raining out and I noticed that the grivory handles just didn't offer any grip. I didn't feel comfortable using my 2 in the rainy conditions because my hands were slipping off like crazy...
So once I got back home I started to brainstorm about what I could do to resolve my problem...
And I came up with this:
I strippled them
The left side didn't come out so good but its ok.
The right side came out a lot better though.
Once I finished stripling them they were very rough so I sanded them sown using 150 grit sandpaper.
SUCCESS!!!
Now the handles offer a very nice and secure grip even under wet conditions!
Plus it looks cool too!
