Bk2 hardware

Hey guys, I'm swapping out the hardware on my bk2 to stainless. I could find the 5/8 screws so I bought 3/4 and they are of course, a little long. So I tried doubling up with 2 nuts to each screw and it seems to work. It seats to but higher up toward the handle but it looks good. There shouldn't be any ill effects should there, sorry this may be stupid but I already baby this thing!

You don't own a hacksaw and file?

You can put the nut on the screw, then either file or cut the screw, as you back the nut off the screw it will straighten the threads out.
