So As far as I'm concerned my BK2 Hunter is finished. It's rough but that's okay. The rough edges will smooth with use and I've shaped it to fit my hand. It is mine pure and simple. I skipped quite a few steps since my last post but all of that was shaping and sanding so use your imagination. I know I did.

So here's the before shot, just some scale scratching in the Grivory to add grip.

It was important to make sure that I could still use Nick's leather. Doesn't rattle at all.

Artsy image. Warrior has nothing to fear from my crummy picture taking. :D

I rubbed wax into the marrow area of the antler to keep water out so it won't get in there and freeze.

The final product with my Dad's Western that he used on pheasant, squirrel, rabbit, or anything else that needed cleaning and his Ontario that sat in the Combine for 30 years being used to cut corn and bean stalks that clogged the header out or beat on a rock that was stuck in it if necessary...lots of character. Hopefully mine will develop a similar character over the next 30 years of hunting.

Thanks for looking,

looks real good, man. that knife already has character. i can only imagine how much it will have in 30 yrs. thanks for sharing

That thing looks sick, it looks like it has a huge set of nuts in the back...appropriately so too!

Thanks for the kind words guys. Its completely different from the original rock shearing beast that is the original but I'd still use it to cleave a mountain in half so I didn't have to climb over it. :D

Wow man.
We see alot of modded Beckers on this forum. Most of them are very cool.
This one is awesome! It's so unique. Definitely one of a kind.
The ffg is fantastic, the antler scales turned out great!
Thanks for sharing. I'm sure you'll get years of service from this fine blade.

Looks like a caveman's BK-2 thawed from the ice! (Meant in a good way). Nice work man, real unique twist on a great knife.

Nice work. That must have taken some time to grind that down to a FFG.

Yeah, it took forever considering I was using a black diamond file and emery cloth. I was hoping the reduction in metal would lighten it but it actually weighs a couple ounces more than the original. I like it though. It's back to shaving sharp and hopefully I'll get a elk in two weeks to test it on. Rogue...I am kind of a throwback caveman so that is very fitting... :D

TrailBum, they are 335gr hard cast gas check reloads. They are really for a .454 Cassul but the Blackhawk hands them well. We heated them up to the point they were breaking the blood vessels in my palm and then backed them off an couple notches I hope to use them for hunting some day (after my aim gets consistent at 50 yds). :D
