This Sunday I was teaching a lesson to my Youth class in church. I like teaching about stuff I enjoy so I found a really cool lesson written about wilderness survival which had some sound survival information, but also talked about how the same concepts could be applied to a Christian walk through life. I like having stuff to visually demonstrate in lesson so I brought my kit, such as it is, into the class with me. The class really took to the lesson and seemed really interested in the concepts!

I came around to showing my BK2 to the class and was showing them the thickness of the blade when I brought the spine down on the table… Hard! Though I didn’t think I did it very hard, I ended up rocking the whole table and placing a huge dent in the table! It seems the shock reverberated through the table top and scared the snot out of my class and the next class down the hall!! It was great! It’s amazing how much force that ¼ inch slab of steel can create when swung! Needless to say, it made an awesome impression!

I’m hoping those interested would want to get together for a separate class on wilderness survival in the next month or so. A little study work, a little skills practice before a two or three day outing or something similar. Good times!

Let him who have no sword sell his cloak and buy one...

Mental survival always comes into play. I never go into exams without a knife and mini survival kit. Ready in body is ready in mind.

Kewl story.. Please tell me you don't strap the BK2 in church service:D

Lots of kids learn visual hands on and are able to retain the information better, I for one appreciate the sacrifice made to help our youth.

it's said that Moses had a BK2 to part the seas with

twas to be 15 commandments, but the BK2 split that stone, and they didn't have time to whittle a new one up

Well, I have a hard time as my pistol drags down my dress belt so far already. I think if I wore the BK2 also I'd lose my pants in service!
I joke, I dont carry my pistol to church. I carry a "sword".

I think when Elijah called down fire from heaven he had batonned a bunch of wood with the BK2.....cant remember the exact scripture reference:)

Well, you know it was there when Noah was building the ark right? Imagine all those beams! Had to split it all right?

And we all know it wasn't a sling that david used to slay Goliath.... bk2... he just never stood a chance
