Ok after looking over many a thread here, I ordered the BK 2, I have a strong feeling that knife will become a more permanent fixture on my pack (murse). So I have the BK4LE and a BK 2 coming. Yes, I'm way over budget now, so if Ramen noodles and ketchup could be considered spaghetti, then I'm going to be eating a lot of crappy spaghetti this month! :D

I'll take them both for a test drive in the high country upon arrival, of course I'll take some pics. One of my idiotic friends is convinced he can attract a mountain lion with catnip, so keep an eye on the newspapers! (totally Jk!) We are so lacking in snow here, I don't know if I'll take my skis, snowshoes, or just flip-flops!

BK2 is one of the best knives you can get for the money, and one of the best designs available.

On a side note, bless your heart. I didn't know they still made Cubs fans. GO YANKS! :D

The BK2 was my first and so far only Becker (I have way too many fixed blades...if there is such a thing as "too many") and its SO nice for the money that it feels like a gift. You'll love it.

It looks so good in everyone's pics, especially the ones with after market handles. Really digging the look of wood handles on it myself. Can't wait!

cubsfan1969, love your avatar. It resembles the picture of two beetles on the Paul McCartney solo album after the Beatles broke up. Always figured that the missing caption on the McCartney photo was "feck the Beatles". Am I detecting a love-hate relationship with the baby bears?

Lol, thx Mountain! In 2008 I kinda destroyed a tv over it, Cubs and Marlins fans will understand. So I figured I better start taking a more humorous approach toward the North Sides "loveable losers". Besides, the owner of that tv was freaking pissed!

You should definitely see "Game 6", a David Mamet film about two over-the-top obsessive Red Sox fans (Michael Keaton and Robert Downey,Jr) before the curse of the Bambino was lifted.

I've been a HUGE fan of the singer / songwriter Steve Goodman since 1973, so I'd like to conclude this digression into baseball by citing the chorus from "A Dying Cub Fan's Last Request"

"Do they still play the blues in Chicago
When baseball season rolls around?
When the snow melts away, do the Cubbies still play
In their ivy-covered burial ground?

"When I was a boy, they were my pride and joy
But now they only bring fatigue
To the home of the brave, the land of the free
And the doormat of the National League"

add-> My BK2 shipped yesterday

That's awesome Mountain! My favorite was in 09 when one could ask: "What do the Cubs and Yankees have in common"? To which the reply was "neither has won a World Series since moving into their new stadium". ;)

Nice, my first becker was the 2, then I moved down one step to the 16, both are great, the only problem I have with the 2, is the lack of stripping/etching chemicals around my house! Let me know how you like the machax, I wanna get one of them for teaching orienteering at summer camp.

congrats on the new Beastie and Machax. I'm sure you will love the 2 as most people do, myself included. I don't have a Machax (yet) but i'm sure that is just as relaible and well built as all the other KA BARs/Beckers are. make sure you get em nice and dirty.

Congrats man, the BK2 was at the top of my list, and is still one I'd like to try but with the advent of the newer small 16 I'll have to wait. Enjoy yours
