I think that 10 is pretty sweet looking as well. Only reason I bought my 7 instead of the 10 was that I have a RAT-5 and the BK-10 is about the same size. Still wanting a 10 though.
Decisions, decisions.....
It depends on what you need, I suppose; BK 2 is a TANK! I have one in my work truck (Get Home Bag) 'cause if I'm only bringing one knife, it's the Campanion. Heavy for its size.
The Crewman is of thinner stock, lighter than the '2. A more general-purpose blade.
Of the two choices, I'd say get the 10. But you really need a 9 to go with that 16. IMHO that combination is all you need.
Of course, it would be completely ridiculous if that's all you had.
I have both.
I like both.
I like the 10 more for everyday use.
It's lighter and more nimble.
I would rather have the 2 if and when the SHTF tho.
Just pick one and order it.
You will soon have both.
That is guaranteed.
The BK2 was my first Becker, but after I got my BK10, the BK2 hasn't seen the light of day. It's a 1/16" difference that doesn't make any difference in strength. You have to ask yourself 2 questions, which shape do you like more and is it worth the extra weight?
I have a 2. It was my first Becker and I do not regret it, at all. I still love it dearly. It's my truck knife and goes everywhere I go. Of course, I really love the 10 but see no need for it now other than to collect it. I wanted a 10 real bad when they were not being made, but since they are back in production I found I really didn't want one anymore.....mainly because I feel I already have a great knife in the 2.
