Hey guys,

Well today I was splitting some hardwood timber a buddy had dropped off for me from a demo job. I always religiously remove any nails from these timbers, but it seems this one had been punched below the surface of the timber.

The BK2 went straight through the it, couldn't even feel any resistance from the nail, and as you can see from the pics, the edge was totally undamaged.

One of the many reasons I love these blades.

1095 CV is awesome stuff! And with the mass and shape of the 2... No chance! Nice!

Those recurves are sometimes a bit too easy to create with power tools, what?.... LOL.... Love your posts Mr. Gassy...

Thanks Ethan much appreciated, and you're right it was definately part of the learning curve using the KE. But I kinda like it to be honest, although not a fan of the recurve, its subtly is rather nice I think.

Greetings,

A 16p nail should be nothing more that an inconvenience to the BK2. I made a comment at camp a few years ago, so we cut a 1/4" grade 5 bolt with a BK2... did nothing more than scrape the paint off.

I wish you folks would stop posting this kind of thing. I am trying to save some cash up, and the 2 was tempting enough before hand.

One of the draws to this sub-forum is the knife porn!
