Gathered a bunch of kindling today, chopping for over an hour. The edge of the BK2 barely dulled at all, and I'm surprised at how well the coating stays on...

Of all the Beckers that I've owned, the 2 has been my least favorite. I know, I know, it's probably heresy or blasphemy to say so. But I much prefer my 16 for small tasks and my 9 for the big ones. The 2 just never felt quite right; too heavy for it's size - if that makes sense.
I'm glad you got a chance to use and enjoy yours. Thanks for posting the pic.

Ok, which one of ya'll talked bad about the BK2? C'mon, fess up.
That way I'll know which one to shoot first.......
I keedin'.
It is a hunk of a knife, but its also one that I have the most confidence in. As long as I don't throw it into a tree a hundred times or more, then, it should outlast my family name........
And me.
Which is to say, its IMHO, the most capable knife in the BKT lineup, for what it can do, in a small package, without fear of damage to failure of the entire knife. Not to say the other BKT's are weak, which they aren't, but they ain't as tough as the Campanion.
