I was messing around with paracord to see how I could add some functionality to the sheath. Anyway, I ended up using some 3/16" shock cord, which is too large for most of my purposes, but fit through the sheath eyelets just fine. I ran it through in a way that I could retain the firesteel on one side and run a belt or webbing through on the back.
I used a 3/8" clasp to hold the firesteel to the sheath and then tucked the whole thing under the shock cord.
This just shows the back, which will serve as a means of securing it to a pack, if necessary. I put a little CA glue in the knots, so they won't pull through themselves.
