I was messing around with paracord to see how I could add some functionality to the sheath. Anyway, I ended up using some 3/16" shock cord, which is too large for most of my purposes, but fit through the sheath eyelets just fine. I ran it through in a way that I could retain the firesteel on one side and run a belt or webbing through on the back.

I used a 3/8" clasp to hold the firesteel to the sheath and then tucked the whole thing under the shock cord.

This just shows the back, which will serve as a means of securing it to a pack, if necessary. I put a little CA glue in the knots, so they won't pull through themselves.

I'll PM you where I got it. I don't think I've seen any bright colors there, though.

Nice! I love the BK2 sheath, it's the best factory/stock sheath I've ever had for a production knife. It holds the knife very securely and is strong/solid in construction. The only mod I did to mine is stitch the belt loop in a way that it fits my 1.75" belt snugly (it also rides higher and close to my side) and doesn't flop around. Otherwise my BK2 and sheath are unaltered.
