My '2 sheath is currently just the plastic part rigged with some tactical rope and a couple size 2 S-biners. Does anyone know if it will screw onto an ESEE Molle back for a RC-5/6? Thanks!

I belive it will, use the search function and you will find pics from guys with the esee attachments on their bk2 sheath

How about a pic of your current set-up for those of us still looking for a good way to pack our 2's?

You are right, sorry. I read it as "use the search function" which is equal to "your mommas a ____" when asking a question on a forum. But I see what you meant. "search function" is two words that elicit an automatic reaction in me sometimes. My fault.

lol, sorry man didn't mean it that way at all. Just wanted to see what set-up you're running at the moment. Edit to add- I also hate the search suggestion. Sometimes it's necessary, other times it's like a write off and can come off snobby. I don't think that was the intent here at all. I've personally never experienced it here on BF, but on another forum quite frequently, so I don't go there much anymore. "Search is your friend" was the quote of the day over there. FYI, I've been thinking about the same mod your planning, but using the stock sheath as a platform instead of just replacing it. Basically, I'm just not a fan of the current belt loop.

Yea I hat the "use the search button" line myself. Hey C_Tanner I tried PM'ing you about your thoughts on the Sharpmaker (you got me thinking about getting one) but the function was turned off. Sorry not trying to hyjack thread

Not you! You want to see my '2 with the rope? Hold on a sec...I think I have a pic. The rope goes cross-chest and it hangs 45 degrees down on my left side just above my hip.

Cool man, it's an idea I'll try! Just wondered, you quoted me when you said it so I just figured I did something out of line. Anyway, issue dropped. you got a lot of variety there as far as steel and carry options.

Never mind that. It was all me just me being "on-the-rag-ish"

Geez...Just checked and those Molle backs are like $50. Thats more than half the way to a whole new knife. If I were going to go that route, it would be specifially for an ESEE-6.

Bottom line...If Kabar made accessories like ESEE has, it would be great and SOOO popular.

i don't have a bk2 so i dont know if it would fit or not. If not though you could make a kydex sheath easily enough and space your holes for the esee molle back. i've done that with several knives, my favorite at the moment is a chris reeve green beret that i made a od kydex sheath and put a khaki molle back and pouch on.

take it easy

I would have NO PROBLEM whatsoever paying more for my knives if they came with sheaths of equal quality. That seems to be a universal complaint about most makers. And there aren't that many aftermarket options so you have to get creative. Maybe I'll just get another Spec-Ops sheath for it. Or that ESEE sheath Moose has a few of....I know I have that link saved somewhere....
