I'm interested in where I can get a sheath like this one I saw posted.
I'm not hot for leather cuz it retains moisture and requires some fuss'in now and then.
I might go Kydex if I hafta but it's gotta have plenty of tie downs.

I REALLY like this one IF I can find one!

Looks like a Spec Ops sheath, but I could be wrong.

I have couple of the 6", Desert & Multicam.

QUOTE=Graphyfotoz;11200361]Where do ya find em?

Sorry I'm wayyyy outta the scene when it comes to knives.
Now that my kids are too old to mess with my stuff I can start over.
I'm a newbie all over again![/QUOTE]

It is made by Spec Ops, but was designed by a survivalist. Very similar to their sheaths but the pouch is a little different.

Here is the link to the survivalist version: http://www.survivalsheath.com/sheaths/index.htm

This is the link to the Spec Ops lineup of sheaths: http://www.specopsbrand.com/tactical-gear/sheaths.html

Guess it just depends on what kind of front pocket you like. The survivalist versions pocket will hold more securely, and the sheath comes with some extra paracord wrap. Both are the same price and made by the same company.

Thanx Guys I made the jump today!

I bought the Survivalist version.....most I ever paid for a sheath without a knife ever!!
OD Green worked for me and I think I'll like the pouch a lot.

GREAT now the Guy says He don't have anymore of that design.
Never mentioned it on His site....He says He has this new design for the same price.
I DON'T like it.....liked the Mollie II system and the zipper pouch.
Here is the new design......IMHO looks like.......

Wow, that is ugly, lol. But...there are a couple advantages to that newer sheath I'll cover at the end. Is there a zipper underneath the buckle, like in the old design?

Looks like he and Spec Ops are not working together anymore and this is his own design. One of the advantages of this was that you knew the quality was there and it was made in USA...and had a lifetime warranty. Did he say what materials are used in this one, if it was made in USA, and if there was a warranty? JUst me, but I would make sure those things are true instead of getting burned on a cheap Chinese sheath (if you are concerned with those things). Also, does he make custom kydex inserts, because the insert looks form fitted for that specific blade...

So the good part of the design? You can carry a firesteel (or pen, lol). It looks like you can wear it vertically on a belt like you traditionally would or horizontally across the back through the webbing. You can mount these using the pals webbing by using something like malice clips: http://www.emdomusa.com/MALICE-Instruction.html . It looks like it would need two columns of malice clips. So the good part is the new sheath has a lot of modularity, which the Spec Ops one didn't have as much of. Here is the back of the spec ops sheath: http://www.flickr.com/photos/aaforge/6875761236/

What the heck is that random snap for at the bottom of the back of the sheath!?

Either way, he needs to update his Web site! Not very good business practice to do that.

**I don't own any of these pictures or links, I found them all on Google**

Well I'm not happy about it! Esp since I already paid!
The new one is UGLY and I don't have any particulars on it.

This is what He emailed me....

I'm making these custom now, here is a sample. It will be molded to your
BK2 precisely. The pouch fits an Altoids tin, and the firesteel loop on the
side is elastic. The price is the same.

I really like the one I saw. You no longer make this?
(Him)
No, those are pretty much gone. The only ones left are in ACU camouflage.
The liner wouldn't fit most knives on the old one. Spec Ops sent me the old ones at cost.
I've rectified the issues with the new one.

I don't have the feeling it's any thing as nice as the original I ordered.
Dunno what I'm gonna do about it just yet.

That sucks. Looks like it was mass produced in China. I would get a refund and find the one you want somewhere. They are still around. That huge website named after a river usually has them.

Not the one he is looking for. That site named after a river will only have the spec ops version, which does not have the same front pouch.

If you already ordered it, give it a chance to come in and then judge. I'm sure he'll back the quality and do a return/refund if you aren't happy with it. Then you'll actually be able to judge in hand rather than by picture. I know it looks ugly in the picture, but you never know. Then you could do a review for us :p

Thanx to the person who owned the sheath in my first post here I'm getting one.
As He is selling me his from the forsale area.
Dang Survival Sheath is OOP and getting to be a pain to find.
Far as nylon survival sheaths I've seen that is THE one to get.

My original order I spoke of (in above post) I asked for my $$ back.
So it all still worked out for me.

Thanx for your help Guys!
