In light of recent events, see this thread, and being new to Beckers, I was wondering what sheath options there are for the BK2, where they are available and what your experiences are with them?

I will note that I'm not a big leather fan due to water damage. Also, the stock plastic sheath seems good quality, so if there are modular add-ons to replace the the nylon strapping I would happily consider that too.

Many thanks.

I drilled out the rivets on the nylon and added a large tek-lok. I liked the sheath but not the way the nylon belt loop was so large. My sheath was/is tight and I would have to hold the sheath to extract the knife in the original set up. This rides higher and feels awkward to me on the strong side carry and draw, but I do alright with a cross draw.
Of course that all might be easier if I were not giveing the Michelin Man a run for the money in the spare tire deparment. The Tek-lok can be set up vertical, horizontal or 45degree.

I've never had any experience with the Tek Lok products but they seem very highly regarded.

Another note I should have mentioned in the OP, along with no leather, I doubt the blade would see much belt carry, the preferred option instead would be as a molle attachement.

The brown thing shown in the picture is an alice to molle a adapter that I loosened the lower part of and folded the restitched. I removed the center stitching to open it up for width. The weight of the knife and tek-lok made the adapter sag so I fabric glued a piece of 8/9 oz leather on to make it stiffer and thicker. Now I can attach it to my surplus three day assault pack. It is tight to remove from the adapter but not overly difficult.
This would be the go to knife for most task and the one that I would prefer to belt carry:

G10- lucky find when searching the big auction site for "becker grips". They were also available in blue and black and green and black
G10 as well as black micarta

Ah! Molle locks, that's an idea, I have extras of those.

Without the internet I'd be dumb! :D

I figured if I messed up my sheath Tomars sell replacements for any exercise in stupidity I may try. Good luck!!

Delkancott, there are gads of Kydex benders authorized to advertise and sell on this site. Finding one to make a BK2 sheath with a MOLLE compatible mount wouldn't be hard at all I wouldn't think. Have you checked the Exchange forums yet?
