I've had my BK2 for just over a year now and am just as impressed with it today as I was when I first got it. No mods to the knife, have kept it as it came. Even the sheath until just recently was stock with just a minor modification I'd done to the nylon webbing to have it ride higher on my belt. In my never-ending quest to perfect my gear I've now gone with the TekLok and like it much better than with the (too-large) nylon loop it comes standard with. I ordered the new version of the Large TekLok from Amazon. It arrived in just a few days and installed easily using the base/mount that the nylon webbing had been riveted to.

All in all I find the kydex sheath for the BK2 to be the very best sheath I've ever seen a stock knife arrive with. In fact, at least in my limited experience, even high quality, well built, well designed knives far too often seem to come with sheaths that are not all that impressive. However in the BK2 I really like the very positive locked-in feel it gives when the BK2 is in it's sheath. No worries of that thing popping out when climbing, jumping, etc. Whatever your activity, (even walking on your hands, lol) the BK2 will be secure and right where you expect it to be.

This is my first attempt at attaching photos, so hoping this works...

Good review of the stock sheath. A lot of people are too critical of it and I think could find something to gripe about no matter what you gave them. That sheath right there though is one of the best I have ever had come with a knife, and I wish all of them came with sheaths like that. Good move with the tek lok. Fits perfectly, doesn't it?

Looks good. Do you like the way it sits on the belt? I made a drop leg, because I like it to ride lower. I also am a fan of the stock sheath. I feel it's very well made.

Yes, for my needs I like where it rides. I prefer it to ride high on my right hip as it makes sitting in the car, in chairs, etc easier and it's up high and snug against my side. That's an individual thing, so each user will find what works best for them. Also, this sheath is so secure you don't even need a thumbsnap/strap to retain the knife.

Also I meant to note in the original post that this new TekLok design has a built-in lock for the belt slot that's easy to use and just a better way of doing it than older ones I've seen. It also adjusts to fit just about any belt width. Two thumbs up for the newest version of the TekLok. Not sure when they made these improvements, but it's something I've noticed so it's new to me! :)
