BK2 stamp on blade

So, every BK2 I have seen always has the logo and name stamped into the blade. I just got mine and realized that it is etched. Anyone else seen this?

They made this change last spring / summer with the new coating they are putting on them. Yours was made in the last year, if it's got the etched logo.

Well snap, I was really looking forward to the stamped logo, mainly for polishing purposes, don't want to lose that. Oh well, it does not change the functionality of the blade at all. Thank you so much for the quick response, and the welcome!

The same thing happened to me Nikki. I was expecting the roll stamp and got the laser etch.

You can acid etch your logo before you strip it.

BK 2 is an awesome piece of kit! Etched or stamped!

Supposedly, the old blade stamps caused a great deal of stress on the stamped part of the blade. The etched blades are supposed to hold up better.
