Alright, so since I got my bk2 I made a leather sheath for it but it's pretty much to carry it on my your waist. I was thinking about using the stock sheath to attach it to a backpack but I had forgotten how much the blade rattles in there dulling the edge really bad really fast. I was wondering if there's any way to fix the rattle, I tried wrapping the sheath with paracord but it didn't help at all. I guess I could get a kydex or make another leather one but I like the stock one, the only problem is the darn rattle.
Thanks guys.

I've never had a rattle in either one of my BK2 sheaths. Now the 14 is a different story...

I've heard people that have no issue with it, I wonder if I can heat it and try to tighten it (like kydex) mine is pretty much like a maraca lol. I wonder if kabar would replace it, I'm rally trying to avoid spending more or investing more time making another sheath. I saw the mods you made and like I said, I like that sheath it looks great.

My bk2 sheath dosnt rattle at all. I got the skystorm "the fix" leather backing made the stack sheath into something awesome. Solid and quite

I replaced the nylon loop with a thick leather loop that it works ok, maybe not as good as the skystorm one but it gets the job done.

IIRC the GRN can take quite a bit of heat and doesn't lend itself well to being thermoformed. I'd say replace it with kydex. It will have all of the good properties of the GRN while also fitting snug and not be as hard on the edge should they contact.

I guess I knew that just didn't want to buy more sheaths. Looks like I'm gonna have to make a leather one for it.

I guess I'm one of the strange few that actually likes the stock sheath for the BK-2. Mine fits-up nice and tight. I removed the nylon belt loop and I have it attached to the side of a Maxpedition Remora with a Tek-Lok. My BK-10 rattles in the sheath like a '73 Ford Pinto on a back country dirt road.
