WOW thing is one serious piece of steel!

I was able to find a Kabar first gen Bk2.I don't know about the new ones,but The balance on this one is almost dead on with your index finger in the hammer grip.:thumbup::thumbup:

I now own the BK11, Bk2, and have a Bk9 on the way.

I think I'll have my bases covered with those three.( for now that is!)

Unfortunately I was SOL with the sheath.This crack was there when I pulled it from the box.
I don't know how this slipped through QC but it did.

Does anyone know where I could get a replacement?

I'm pretty sure the sheaths are not covered by warranty,But I haven't even used this yet.

Congratulations, frontline29. Great score on a great knife.

As far as the sheath, I would contact KA-BAR about it, if I were you. The warranty doesn't apply only to the blade, you know. If you received that sheath from them in that condition, I'm sure they'll replace it for you.

Perhaps Toooj or Ethan will weigh in on this.

That's why I love this place!

We'll see what kabar says about it.Hopefully they'll hook me up.

If they don't for whatever reason,I would gladly pay for shipping and send you down a gift for your kindness.;)
 
When my girlfriend got home from work,I handed her my new Bk2.

She looked it over for a second.And the first thing she did was give it a good tap on a 4x4 fence post.

I thought it was funny because she know's absolutely nothing about knives.
But as soon as she seen this one she knew that it was meant to work.
 
congrats on the new becker! the bk2 is my favorite knife hands down.

I don't know how they do it,but they do, and I like it!:thumbup:

My Bk9 should be here by next friday.
I've never handled one so I don't know what to expect.I know that it's thinner then the BK2,I just hope it's still good and beefy.

Sorry about the inconvenience.....Give Tooj a call at 1 800 282 0130.....The only prob is gonna be timing ....Ka-Bar is waiting anxiously for sheaths.......If you are planning a big trip soon and gotta, gotta have one right now please pm me with a phone number....If I were you I would wait a bit for the new one - it is Awesome.....Anyhow talk to the Tooj.....

I wish every company was like that!
Sadly they are not.

It's still a little too wet and too cool up here for any out doors trips.So in that aspect I guess I'm in luck ;) I can wait until Kabar gets those new sheaths in.
I'll give Tooj a call sometime tomorrow,and hopefully we'll get something worked out.

These sheaths sound like their gonna be worth the wait.

BK2 is one of my favorites! I have a small collection of blades currently giving some away to family and friends. However, I will never part with this beast!
