Actually, it wasn't exactly TP per se. It was Scotties brand 2 ply Kleenex pulled apart so that it's super thin. I also cut the kleenex into more manageable sections.

Take a bow Scottie (notice you never see Ankerson using any TP that supports the breast cancer foundation! Actually, it was on sale.)

Pre-cut back story dramatic build up.... When I got my BK2 on Tuesday it's edge was not what I'd call ideal. It was very thick and not sharp at all. In fact, the edge was about the thickness and sharpness of a store bought axe. Great, if yer gonna go outside and hack into a car chassis. But those days are over for me....

More build up.... Now, before I show the photos, keep in mind this is not Ankerson level sharpness. But for a blade I left thicker then I normally sharpen at, I think it's pretty decent. I set the angle on the Edge Pro in between 24º an 21º marks. Yeah, I do things..... differently sometimes.

See how thin the kleenex was (close your eyes if 5 letter words offend you):

The ripping you see half way down was me changing the angle of the BK2 to flow with the Kleenex as it was trying to curl away from the blade. But the cut was entirely done by push cut alone. The very last part ripped when I forced the knife through. *Ankerson shakes his head in disapproval*, no doubt.

Crap forgot to put a photo of the star. Also, I did a rough sharpening job since I plan to abuse it a bit. I spent barely a minute polishing it with the 2000 grit strip.

My BK2 would shave the hair off my arm when I got it. Slice paper with no problem. But the sheath does dull it a bit.

No sheath related edge problems for me yet, it's very tight. The first time pulling the knife out of the sheath was quite the event. That sucker felt welded in there. Not so hard now. Also, putting it back inside the first time had such a loud snap it rocked my eardrums. Pretty sweet.

Is that Edge Pro worth the price? I can't sharpen for sh1t, even with a Sharp Maker! Nice pics, I use a Nikkon as well, love it.

I have/had the same problem. I suck at sharpening. Free hand, forget about it. I sucked with the Lansky diamond sharpener too. Basically, I've struggled with sharpening my whole life....

I like the Sharpmaker, but found it was only good on knives that have an angle close to the 40 or 30 degree that the sharpener was designed for. Reprofiling a knife with the Sharpmaker is not very efficient either. But that's just my opinion. I considered the Wicked Edge system, thinking it would be better than the Edge Pro, but the overall cost was more than I wanted to spend.

So take it from someone who couldn't sharpen to save his life. Other then sharpen well enough to say, skin a frog. The Edge Pro is a very nice system. It's not perfect, but I've sharpened every knife I own with it, to VERY sharp levels. All except two. Couple recurve style Boker Plus knives that I think I will require 1/2" stones to be able to sharpen properly.
