Ok, I started another thread but I'll move it here since I tend to gravitate towards Beckers.

I have about $60 to spend and I just got my BK7 a week ago and I love it. I don't use it though a whole lot yet, but I plan to when I go camping. I love my Becker Necker but I wish it was a tad bigger; I use it everyday even to cut up food. So I'm thinking is the BK2 a huge knife almost the size as the BK7 or is it more like a larger BK11? (and I love the BK11 sheath, the BK2 seems to have a similar one).

Oh, and someone mentioned the BK14, but is that the same size as the BK11, just with a different handle?

any BK2/BK7/BK11 comparison pics?

The BK2 is shorter than the 7, but thicker, coming in at at a full .250". It is a good all around knife though I assure you.

The BK14 is the BK11 Blade on an ESEE Izula handle. The handle is slightly thicker and the Izula handles will fit, they just need to be modded a little.

thanks, that narrows it down back to the BK2. I'm just dreading the postal services. It took 2 weeks to get my BK7.

And I do have my pocket knives for smaller tasks. I was thinking of getting a Spyderco Delica 4 as well, but I have so many pocket knives and don't ever use half of them.

And yep, the Delica 4 and the BK2 are within $3 in price. :) But wow think of all the extra blade that comes with that BK2 :)

Where do you live? And who did you order from? I get mine in about 3-4 days.

NC - Amazon (the dummies shipped it to California from somewhere in the midwest then back to NC)

Any recommendations where to get my BK2? I would like a good knife store I can trust (if thats ok to say, not to spot price or anything)

I got my BK9 from Amazon, they did the same thing, I live in utah.
It went from arizona to colorado then to me, the other thing that threw me off was I tracked it threw fed-ex and it came USPS......WEIRD

check the exchange for a list of dealers that support BF - then go to their websites to see pricing, shipping costs (some are free), etc...

There are several good suppliers out there Chestnut Ridge Knife shop has some awesome stuff, Tomars Kabars, New Grahams, AG Russell and several others. Use your search fu and price shop, but order from a reputatble dealer. Also, you can check Kabars website for a list of dealers. I like Tomars, but that's just me.

cool thanks for the store lists. I got my Factory Second Ontario SP10 and SP1 from Chestnut Ridge. They should still have some in stock, the sp10 was really a great deal.

No don't do it !!! I have 3 Delicas and their deployment is horrible, not just one but all three..

yeah they're a great knife and I love spyderco, maybe its a delica thing?? but no way can you compare that to a BK2, especially on a Becker forum:D

get the 2 you will love it to death, but then again it most likely will never die.. !!

NC == Northern California ? Maybe there's the confusion.

i presume it means north carolina... california just one little bitty state, they didn't break it up or nothing :)

Ok, just finished selling off a few things on ebay and placed my order for the BK2! It's great knowing you made the right choice; you can't go wrong with these knives!.

ya know, I'm wanting a hatchet too. I know there is a forum for those but man, I wish there was a BK-Hatchet with the same blade steel and price.

Only ones I've seen under $60 or so that look ok (and heard good reviews for) are the Sog Fusion and the Cold Steel Trench Hawk. Not as big of a market though. And I am sure I can baton and cut up wood just fine with my BK2 and BK7. Maybe the BK9 is next! But I do have the Ontario SP10 now so that can do for now :)

Oh and yea, NC meant North Carolina :)
