Took some time, but my bk24 has finally shown up... I didn't like any of the wraps I found online, so I made one I did like (for now). Take a look, if you folks want a tutorial on this wrap or the knot at the end, let me know, I'll see if I can put one together.
 
I love my BK24 & I'm sure you will too. Good job on the handle wrap but try not to do anything too messy with it. Wrapped handles are nearly impossible to get clean.
 
Congrats! Just ordered one myself. Cant wait till it shows up. It will be my first Becker.
 
I'll try to keep it as clean as I can but it's going to be a work/camp knife so its fine if it gets dirty, it will give me something to do fireside. I'll try a different wrap the next time. I will make sure I do up a tutorial of them both. Maybe in a month or so, we'll see how beat up it gets from work.

Thanks for the info on them holding grit and dirt.
 
Congrats on the knife, Strange. It carries well both with and without a wrap, that's the most of the info I can give so far... I picked up a bk2 (that is only stripped now, jimping and polish/patina coming soon) the same day, but it happened to show up a week earlier, both had 2 day shipping which was odd... I hope yours doesn't get delayed add mine did.
Are you experienced in sharpening knives? What are you planning on using on the 24 in regards to sharpening?
I'm planning on adding some jimping, but not looking forward to it due to the fact it is d2... Possibly start it with a diamond file for the placement then carbide bit on my dremel for the meat removal then back to Diamond file for shaping? I guess we'll see...

I am NOT experienced in sharpening, but plan to try and use a Sharpmaker. It might be tough with the D2. It will also be my first D2 knife, so I really don't know what to expect.
