Hey everyone, I got a bk24 last month and I love the knife; it's great. Unfortunately, I've been having some troubles getting a full grip on the handle (I have big hands). I was wondering if anyone has the TKC bk14/bk24 g10 scales on their beckers yet? If so, does it make the knife feel a little fatter and give a little more grip for your pinky? My hand is almost exactly the same size as the handle length, but I am hoping the TKC scales will help it feel a little bigger and offer a little more pinky purchase. Thanks for the help.

I have almost ordered a set of these a few times now since they came out! I might cave in soon. Haven't seen any pics yet, I'll be watching this. ;)

I bought a set of the kabar scales and they do make the knife feel better in my hand.I say go for it.they aren't that expensive and theyare worth it

I bought a set if custom 710 scales and I had them made thicker than the factory grivory, they are really a game changer as far as getting a good purchase on the knife. I have had an izula with the TKC G10 and I really likes those but the 710 scales are a better choice for bigger hands.

As a guy with big hands, I wrapped the handle with 550 cord. It now fits comfortably.

You can always go with the izula 1 micarta as well. I don't have oven nits but wear an XL glove and they fill my hand out pretty well.

even with scales, it's a 3 finger knife at best -- unless you go to custom length oversized scales with a spacer to fill the gap between the scales where they carry past the butt.

I have medium size hands but I have long fingers. The kabar zytel scales make the fit of the 14 perfect.

The OEM zytel scales are your best bet, and cost effective. While the TKC scales are nice, I have a problem paying more for a set of scales then what the knife cost me.

I had some wood scales from tommythewho for my 14 and they made a huge difference for me compared to the zytel. Much more comfortable grip. Still a 3-finger knife but for larger hands, it's a game changer.

I'm in agreement with the zytel scales. Just be careful with torquing down the screws, it doesn't take much to screw threw them...ask me how I know :( Good thing they give you 2 sets!
