First let me start by saying that the 1095 version of the Ontario SP-10 Marine Raider is my most favorite survival knife of all time and i trust nothing more ( other than God) while in the woods or bad side of town.

I just learned that Becker/KA-BAR has come out with something called the BK29. Why did nobody tell me this and how do i get one.

My knife addiction started with the BK9 when it was called "king of the choppers" (before there was even Beckerheads) and i loved that knife. Still have it with the little free knife that came with it. Think it was the bk11 or something.

After a period of abusing it i accidentally started playing with my marine raider and got hooked on it. The BK9 is a better chopper but i trusted the Marine Raider more.

Now i hear that the bk29 is as good of chopper as bk9 plus it's a big thick clip point which I love.

Tell me now, how and where can i get one. I need a new best friend.

I think he means they're no longer in production and you'd have to buy them from the exchange on the site or some other third party source.

Looking around for it....Looks like no one is selling it new from the usual vendors

Knife was a small run that was sold out some time ago. Only way to get one is the second hand market.

I guess ka-bar no longer has any faith in the Becker line other than limmited run. I am guessing they are bored with Becker and are investing into other designers who have a brighter future at ka-bar.

I guess I give up on the Becker line. I bought my daughter a Jarosz Globetrotter the other day and love it. I am going to get me one also and then the Jarosz Chopper then the Turok and then i am going back to Ontario for my knife needs. If McDonald's cant get me a big mac when I have a mac attack then i will go get a triple whopper at Burger King, life goes on.

As mentioned, the BK-29 was a limited production item and only sold by Kabar (not the Kabar vendors). It came with a BK-5 (or was that the BK-20?). At this point, I would watch the exchange and visit the Becker forum. I believe it was done in 2016. And then there was the BK-20 and I am not sure of the practical difference between the two.

The last Becker introduced was the BK-62 Kephart late last year which is a factory recreation of the original Kephart from the early 1900's.

the bk62 kephart is such an excellent design & execution, 1095 crovan... my only wish is they did one in 3v for less than a 50% premium

I think the best you might hope for is S30V from Kabar. ;) The BK-62 is quite a nice knife. Frankly, 3V is not really needed on a knife like this. (Just my opinion coming from someone who has a kephart in 3V.) I don't envision using them really hard like you might a BK-2. But I know, "everyone" wants 3V now for their woodcrafting knives.

Since you already know you like OKC knives and your preference is for 1/4" or thicker, you might want to take a look at the RTAK 2
