BK4 sheaths, let`t see them!!!!!!

Title pretty much explains it all.
I`m curious as to what`s out there for the BK4 Machaxe.
Leather or Kydex..

I'm posting this one up for trailbum....it's made by him (Northeast Kydex) and I lifted the pic from his "Hiking Mt. Oregon" thread. He makes some real quality stuff.

You'd hafta ask trailbum for exactitudes, but I believe it's Kydex. AFAIK, Kydex, Holstex and Boltaron are all pretty much the same thing: thermoform plastic. Heat it up, squish it around your knife, rivet and finish. Greatly oversimplified, obviously, but that's it in a nutshell.

What I like about trailbum's 4 sheath is that it has retention without straps, which is no small feat for the curvaceous blade of the Machax. Still trying to work up the stones to attempt one of my own, although I've made a couple for other knives I own.

Thanks, Granite. All the holstex I've seen pictures of always has a pixely pattern on it, and seems a little glossier. I've only handled kydex, so wasn't sure. Good luck with your bending endeavors!
