Recommendation? BK5 going naked

I have a very used and useful BK5.

It still has the original coating, but I would like to remove it.

After stripping the coating, do I need to create a patina or is better to live it alone?

Any raw 1095CV benefits from a forced patina for corrosion resistance.
Keeping it oiled is the best treatment and it will develop its own natural patina.
Forced patinas are fun though, and playing with patterns can create some cool looks.
Either way ya go...just keep her greased up a bit and you'll be fine.
