With prices like this I have no choice but to pick up a BK5! I would have to be a fool not to, but my brokeness forces the sale of another knife in order to fund my new conquest. My only concern is the sheath, have any improvements been made recently? My BK 7 I had 5-6yrs ago had a very thin flimsey sheath and due to my lack of sheath making skills I sold it off. If the same sheath is being supplied I will sell a higher dollar blade so I can order a kydex sheath for the 5. Thanks guys

The stock 5 sheath is perfectly serviceable if you get one that is long enough(google it), but it does leave something to be desired if you like nice sheaths.

The sheath isn't anything to write home about but so far has worked perfectly fine for me. As far as selling a high dollar knife, I'm not sure what you consider high dollar but quality kydex can be had for under $40, several members here make them and are pretty popular on fleabay as well

I just mean a knife that would fund the knife and custom sheath combined and would probably try for some extras on the sheath. Totally worth it, but more "expensive" than the knife alone, if that makes sense....

I've found that while the sheaths aren't as purty as a nice leather sheath. They actually work quite well. The only issue I've had is due to the length of some I've had issues with belt carry. I'm solving that by going to pack carry on my longer Beckers. The 15 and 11 that I have carry fine on the belt. Personally I'd try it first and if you desire a different sheath you can always pick that up when the funds are available. The five has a plastic (kydex?) insert and is not floppy at all. Can't beat the value on these knives right now.
